Application for Day Procedure Centre Licence



Dear Doctors,

The application for Day procedure centres licence has begun on 2 January 2020.

Day procedure centres

Day procedure centres are ambulatory facilities that are used, or intended to be used for carrying out scheduled medical procedures (as stipulated in Column 2 of Schedule 3 to the Ordinance) on patients without lodging. 

The licence

All Day procedure centres are required to be licensed and there are no exemption arrangements for Day procedure centres.

Date

Day procedure centres which were in operation on 30 November 2018 can apply for a provisional licence in the period of 2 January and 30 April 2020 (both dates inclusive). The first batch of Day procedure centres licence will take effect on 1 January 2021.
