What is Algebra?

Algebra refers to the use of letters to represent numbers, for the investigation of the relations between numbers and the rules of arithmetic.

Algebraic operations

Algebraic expressions are expressions obtained by addition, subtraction, multiplication or division of numbers and letters (representing numbers).

New terms

To set up formulae and make use of substitution.

A set of numbers arranged in a particular order forms a sequence. Each number in the sequence is called a term of the sequence.

There are some common sequences and their patterns:

1. Square sequence
2. Arithmetic sequence
3. Triangular sequence
4. Geometric sequence
5. Fibonacci sequence
